Colin has been a Rawdon member for over thirty years and is currently Rackets Chairman. This role involves chairing regular committee meetings and the annual general meeting (AGM) and reporting directly to the Club Management Committee. Colin aims to encourage the full participation of all committee members and ensure that all club members experience and enjoy the full benefits of club membership. Away from the courts, Colin is king of the quiz and a keen music fan and traveller.
Sally is the Rackets Secretary and Welfare Officer. As Rackets Secretary she maintains club affiliations with local and national organisations and deals with all outgoing and incoming correspondence. She ensures that club records are accurate and up-to-date, prepares agendas and take minutes at committee meetings and AGMs. As Welfare Officer Sally oversees all aspects of safeguarding. Sally ensures that all Disclosure and Barring Services clearances and licenses are in place for adults involved in any club activities and works with the Chairman to maintain safeguarding policies and practice. Still one of the best players in the county and lethal at the net, she is one of those people always involved in all aspects of life at the club.
Simon is the Rackets Treasurer and maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records for the Rackets Section. He helps to ensure that membership funds are collected and spent appropriately, and reports on a regular basis the Club Treasurer. Simon has been instrumental in exploring funding opportunities for the club and project-managed the major investment into padel facilities, which has had a tremendous impact upon the financial stability of the club. Simon is currently undertaking training to develop his skills in padel coaching and is always at the heart of social events.
